Air Canada may forgo equity deal: Source says there is a lack of compatibility between carrier, two investment funds
Article Abstract:
Air Canada may forgo the final $250-million tranche of equity it has been trying to raise since May 2004. One source stated that there is a lack of compatibility between the airline and the two U.S. investment funds Cerberus Capital Management Fund and Oak Hill Capital Partners LP, with which it has been holding separate talks, and that, as a result, there is only about a 50% chance it will cement a deal with either one.
