Cars drive factory shipments: 1.7-per-cent rise called 'a welcome relief'

An increase in the automotive production activities in Canadian factories leads to a rise of 1.7 percent in shipments to $43 billion. The gains in shipments were widespread as sixteen out of twenty one industry groups showed signs of improvement.
