Child welfare reform: The issues
Article Abstract:
A three-year investigation by George W. Bush administration in America concluded that no child welfare programs fully complied with federal child safety standards. The roles of state and local governments in keeping the families together, federal government in providing enough support for local child welfare agencies and child welfare system in preparing foster adolescents for adulthood are discussed.
