Article Abstract:
The statistical data obtained from a research conducted at a national level for studying substance-abuse gives a clearer picture of addiction, as most of the addictive substances go through epidemic like periods. The survey shows that drug use shows the same characteristics that of contagious epidemics and is spread mainly through social contacts, though the trend of getting used to something has appreciably declined in the last few years.
