Prime Minister John Howard's decision to seek another term has left many observers baffled especially after labor leader Mark Latham's soaring approval ratings and many say that Latham's presence has rattled the Prime Minister. The opposition leaders actions have also made the Prime Minister look old but political analysts say that the Prime Minister stills holds the edge in the elections scheduled for end 2004 but the Prime Minister will need help from all his aides.

Beazley let down on all Labor fronts
Article Abstract:
Labor's Kim Beazley is not getting the requisite support from his closest cohorts and, combined with the party's internal disorganization, this will cost Labor the election. Gareth Evans' attack on the prime minister was very costly, as it delivered the moral high ground to the opposition.
