CrossKeys rings in soaring profit

Kanata, Ontario-based CrossKeys Systems Corp. reported an increase in its profits to 28 cents a share, or C$4.8 million, for the fiscal year 1998 ended on Apr. 30, 1998. CrossKeys Systems also reported an 80% increase in its sales to C$38.7 million for the fiscal year 1998. The company's excellent financial performance for the fiscal year 1998 was attributed to the an improvement in the sales of its networking software product. CrossKeys Systems' software product is employed by telephone-service providers to improve the efficiency of their network-management initiatives.

CrossKeys recruits high-profile CEO

Network software developer CrossKeys Systems Corp of Kanata, Ontario, has named Ian MacLaren to succeed co-founder John Selwyn as president and CEO, effective May 1, 1999. Selwynn will remain as director of the company. The hiring of MacLaren, a 20-year veteran of high-tech industry, is in line with the company's strategy to remain competitive. MacLaren is expected to launch programs to boost Crosskeys' revenue through the expansion of its customer base and acquisition of other companies.

CrossKeys to develop products, add staff

Telecommunications software developer CrossKeys Systems Corp of Ottawa, Ontario, has announced its plan to invest C$15 million to develop new products and increase its staff. The Newbridge Networks affiliate said that the planned expansion would enable the company to cope with the growing market which is projected to reach $1,2 billion bu 2002. The company is expected to register sales of C$45 million in 2000 and $70 million in 2001.
