Disney denies Eisner an annual bonus
Article Abstract:
Walt Disney Co denied its CEO Michael Eisner, as well as its vice chairmen Roy Disney and Sandy Litvack, annual performance bonuses because of the entertainment company's failure to meet its financial goals in 1999. As reported in its proxy statement filed with the SEC on Jan 5, 2000, Walt Disney's fiscal 1999 revenues decreased 22% to $1.4. Eisner got $10 million in bonuses in 1997 and was still the highest-compensated executive in the US when he received $5 million in 1998.
