Dollar climbs on weak U.S. currency

Industry analysts said that the strong Canadian dollar may be rising due to U.S. monetary policy whose goal is to aid the slow U.S. economy by weakening the U.S. dollar. The Canadian dollar reached 72.48 cents (U.S.) as Canadian financial officials considered cutting interest rates.
