Electronic Trading on Big Board Upstages Terror Talk
Article Abstract:
The New York Stock Exchange plans to allow electronic trading of big blocks of stock, by institutional investors, using a program called Direct Plus. The move is aimed at keeping such investors from shifting away their business to electronic competitors of the Big Board, and the new program is expected to be up and running in 6 to 12 months.
