FLIGHT SENT BACK ON TERROR FEAR, U.S. OFFICIALS SAY
Article Abstract:
US security officials continue to deter airlines and flights that arouse security concerns. An in-bound flight from Mexico, that remained unidentified, was returned so that passengers could be screened properly. Air France canceled six flights the previous week because suspected terrorists might be on the flights. A British Airways flight to Dulles was delayed after it arrived at the airport because Transportation Security Administration investigators need to check out certain passengers and luggage. The US continues to coordinate security operations with other aviation authorities to insure that a terrorist operation is not using a particular flight route and airline to a designated city.
