The objective of advertising is to convince the prospective purchaser of a product or service that their life would be much better if the product is purchased. As such a campaign for Tourism Australia is aggressive and confrontational, downright patronizing, implying that some place in Oz is infinitely preferable to where the reader is and it is felt that when inviting people to visit a country, it should be done in a simpler and personable manner.

The National Gallery of Victoria was enriched with many master pieces purchased with the funds from the Felton Bequest. The mammoth canvases selected for hanging in the year 2004 were big but were transcendentally awful.
