Apple Computers has introduced a computer screen which is only 6-8 cm thick and can be hung on a wall. In 1998 it sold for $3999, but the price has dropped 40% to $2395 due to better manufacturing methods. The flat screens use a liquid-crystal display, which is brighter and sharper and emits less electromagnetic radiation than traditional, television-style screens.

The reasons that led to Australia's worst naval tragedy, where four young sailors lost their lives in an engine room blaze aboard His/Her Majesty's Australian Ship (HMAS) Westralia in 1998, are discussed. A four year investigation into the circumstances of fire, which has uncovered certain evidence of sinister moves, is highlighted.
