Ford rolls out small Lincoln for sale in '99

The Ford Motor Company said its new Lincoln will go on sale in spring 1999 as a 2000 model. The Lincoln LS is expected to be priced at $30,000 to $35,000 aimed at first time luxury buyers. The LS will be 2 feet shorter and 2 inches narrower than other Lincolns. It will offer a manual transmission for the first time in decades. The LS6 will have a V-6 engine, and the LS8 will have a 3.9-liter V-8. The LS will also offer a so called yaw control.
