The Australian Institute of Sport is criticized for promoting the Commonwealth Games for nebulous ends, like a gold medal tally. The Games which were started to be fun have turned out be too second-rate in quality and too one-sided in favour of Australia with lack of competition, that it wins most of the gold medals.
