Investment debt can profitably remain while excess funds are diverted into superannuation, or pension funds. Small businesses can, under Australian law, borrow to fund savings accumulated in a pension fund. Retirement tax options that are generating income can contribute undeducted money to a pension fund, providing a tax deduction as well as a tax rebate that reduces taxable income.
