Guilt-free trip: investment options for the ethically minded
Article Abstract:
Socially responsible investing is gaining popularity in Australia. Some companies, such as Hunter Hall Value Growth Trust, have demonstrated high returns for ethical investments by concentrating on investing in firms with less than $100 mil in market capitalization. The performance of most ethical investing firms, however, has not been significant enough to transform the industry. Yet they do provide an indication of future trends. Ethical investors typically do not invest in armaments, tobacco, alcohol or gambling.
