Halifax takes aim at lawn chemicals

The city government of Halifax, Nova Scotia has launched a new environmental program that has the goal of reducing the use of lawn and garden chemicals. The pesticides program, which is opposed by pesticides manufacturers and lawn-care companies, follows a city ban on the use of perfumes in public places.
