Article Abstract:
The speech of John Howard addressed at Gallipoli Dawn Service in 2000 is discussed in which he related his vision of past, present and future of Australia. It was an elegant, heartfelt and profoundly moving tribute, not just to be fallen, but for what they had fought for, which was to build a nation, which would stand proud and respected amongst the free people of the world and for a decent and responsible Australia.
