Hot Chapters Online IPO larger than anticipated

Chapters Online is exepected to get C$45 million from the initial public offering of its stock. The company said that the issue has been oversubscribed, and it expects to sell 3.3 million shares at C$13.50 per share. The underwriting syndicate handling the offering is also planning to boost the value to C$50 million by selling more shares to meet the demand. Chapters Online is the first major electronic commerce IPO in Canada.
