The residents of Prince Edward Island have expressed disappointment in the 1993 campaign of Premier Callbeck. Callbeck is an overwhelming favorite in her Mar 29, 1993, reelection bid, with polls giving her 69% of the vote. The certainty of her election victory seems to have tempered her enthusiasm.

Newfoundland's Premier Clyde Wells has decided to step down after six and a half years of being in office in hopes of attaining anonymity. The Liberal party has lost popularity since Wells entered office, as revealed by a 45% approval rating in 1995 compared to 82% in 1990.
