In second move from Lotus, executive is joining Shiva
Article Abstract:
Lotus Development Corp marketing VP Frank Ingari leaves to become Shiva Corp's president and CEO. Shiva specializes in technology that allows mobile and home microcomputer users to establish fully functional remote connections to corporate local area networks (LAN) over standard telephone lines. Ingari is attracted by the usefulness of Shiva's technology, and thinks the company is poised to make a significant impact in the emerging mobile and home networking market. He oversaw the development and marketing of the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet program while vice president of Lotus's spreadsheet division in 1988-90. Ingari previously left Lotus in 1991 to become president and CEO of Ontos Inc, an object-oriented database management system vendor, only to return to Lotus after 15 months when Ontos's sales declined.

EDA Systems fills job of president and chief
Article Abstract:
Andre O. Schwager, a 20-year veteran of the computer industry, joins EDA Systems Inc, assuming the roles of president and chief executive. Schwager plans no changes in the company's product line, planning to focus on EDA's business strategy. Schwager's plans for EDA, which specializes in software for electronic-design automation, include repositioning the company as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The products the company develops and produces would not be sold by EDA, but rather by manufacturers of design tools and computer platforms. Schwager, 47, was president and CEO of Cydrome, a superminicomputer manufacturer. He also worked as a senior VP at Dataquest, the market research firm, and as a general manager at HP's information networks division.
