Sears, Oracle try B2B venture

Retailer Sears, Roebuck and Co and software developer Oracle Corp will team up in a business-to-business e-commerce (B2B) venture that involves the creation of an virtual marketplace for players in the retail industry. Retailers and suppliers who want to sell and purchase products over the Internet are welcome to participate in the exchange. The exchange was unveiled following the recent announcement of a similar online marketplace by Ford Motor, General Motors and DaimlerChrysler.
