The Progressive Policy Institute is releasing a report discussing the need for privacy on the Internet, specifically in the area of copyright infringement. The report states the sites like Napster should not be allowed to offer Internet users free trade of music and MP3 files. A House Small Business Committee meeting is scheduled to discuss the problems of copyright in the Internet music industry.

For many online music fans, court ruling is call to arms

Napster, an online music downloading site, has been told to close down its sight as it violates copyright law. The site's creator, Joe Frost, believes that this ruling doesn't mean it is the end. He is determined to promote the idea of downloading music free off of the Internet and he doesn't see it as a violation of copyright laws.
