Investors find shine in Dow's 'old economy'
Article Abstract:
Stock market investors have renewed their interest in 'old economy' companies by buying the stocks of tobacco firms, banks, home builders and healthcare establishments. Among the non-technology companies whose stock prices have surged are Philip Morris, JP Morgan and DuPont. A market analyst said the switch to value stocks is a positive sign that investors are lessening their exposure to high P-E stocks and are now favoring low P-E stocks.
