Is privatization the best way to save Social Security?
Article Abstract:
Peter J. Ferrara, Senior Fellow, Institute For Policy Innovation, feels that privatization will preserve within the personal account the progressivity of Social Security so workers across the board will gain roughly the same percentage which will enhance progressivity for workers, while Christian Weller, Senior Economist, Center For American Progress, feels that with privatization, insurance is replaced with savings accounts which is risky as workers may exhaust their savings during their retirement.

Energy bill
Article Abstract:
The House Republican leaders abandoned a plan that would take up US President George W. Bush's energy bill, as it will cost more than allowed under the President's fiscal 2006 budget request. Critics also state that the bill does little to reduce the U.S. contribution to global warming.
