A helpful program that does Windows
Article Abstract:
Dariana's Winsleuth Gold 3.0 is an indispensable tool for analyzing, diagnosing and teaching about a computer running Microsoft Windows. The $169 program provides comprehensive information about a computer's memory, video, disks and ports, and tests them as well. To learn about a specific component, simply click on either a picture of the component or on one of 10 'buttons' at the top of the screen. Winsleuth Gold will save CMOS information on a floppy disk so if the battery that powers the CMOS chip fails, the information can be restored without difficulty. Winsleuth Gold includes System Sleuth Professional 4.0, a similar program for MS-DOS-based systems. A variety of cartridges based on health books are available for Franklin Electronic Publishers' pocket-sized Digital Book System.
