Lawyer Lex Lasry, QC, also chairs the Victorian Criminal Bar Association and is assisting the coroner in the investigation of Canberra bushfire disaster. He has fought many cases but his most important case till date has been the case of Nguyen Twong Van, an Australian-Vietnamese charged with drug-trafficking and later hanged to death, which left a deep impact on Lasry.
