Lowest price? Not at Zellers
Article Abstract:
Zellers Inc., a discount chain in Canada, wants to withdraw its long-running slogan, "The lowest price is the law," as it intends to take on a fresh strategy and admits that it does not always fulfill its promises. In subsequent advertising, Zellers will consider other attractive offerings aside from just the low pricing, including more stylish merchandise and more shopper-friendly stores with more spacious aisles. For its Fall 1998 campaign, the company is collaborating with ad agency Ogilvy and Mather (Canada) Ltd.
