Restoring the golden-arch shine
Article Abstract:
McDonald's CEO Jack Greenberg is engineering a corporate makeover that he hopes will transform the fast-food giant from an arrogant corporation into a customer-focused restaurant chain. Deviating from the past strategy of opening hundreds of restaurants every year to fuel growth in the US, he is betting on a new cooking system and new products to expand revenues and boost bottomline. On the international front, the company continues with its expansion frenzy, expecting to open more stores outside the US.
