OSC staff, keybase president reach settlement agreement
Article Abstract:
Keybase Financial Group president Dax Sukhraj has reached a settled agreement with the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) over his alleged actions which are contrary to public interests. Sukhraj has reneged on his promise to reimburse three elderly investors who lost money when they were clients of Provident Financial Services Inc in 1997. Sukhraj, who was then the chairman of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada, asked the OSC to delay taking actions against Provident because he was planning to take over part of its business.
