Ombudsmen Rebuff Move By Public Broadcasting

The Organization of News Ombudsmen voted at its annual conference to change bylaws so that only employees of news organizations can be eligible for membership, which will mean that employees of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and National Public Radio will no longer be considered eligible because of their government affiliation.

F.T.C. Files First Lawsuit Against Spyware Concerns
Article Abstract:
The Federal Trade Commission has filed a lawsuit against Seismic Entertainment Productions and Smartbot.net, both owned by Sanford Wallace. Both companies used spyware to install pop-up ads, causing computers to malfunction, slow down or crash.
