Ottawa wins round in lumber suit

Portland, Ore.-based Pope and Talbot Inc. has lost its lawsuit against the Canadian government in connection with the company's investment in a British Columbia lumber mill. Pope and Talbot filed the suit in 1998 under the Free Trade Agreement of 1992, often called NAFTA.
