Petrocan president and chief executive officer, Ron Brenneman revealed details of how it plans to cash on the expected boom in the lucrative North American liquefied natural gas (LNG) market. He feels that this venture would increase the company's long-life assets and make it a 'long-term' presence in the LNG market.

Petrocan in talks with Russians to set up new LNG partnership

Calgary-based company, Petro-Canada is in talks with Russia to set up a plant to liquefy abundant and cheap natural gas and to ship it across the Atlantic. The plant is expected to cost $1.3-billion and would be constructed near St. Petersburg, the second largest city in Russia.

Petrocan shuts refinery faced with retooling
