Pfizer expected to have staying power
Article Abstract:
Pfizer Inc has enough new remedies in the pipeline to possibly sustain the growth fueled by its blockbuster impotence drug Viagra. Some analysts are concerned about the long-term prospects of Viagra, whose sales have begun to plateau in the US. While introduction into other markets will continue to help the company keep its strong sales growth over the next few months, the treatment will eventually run out of new markets. Some analysts, however, point to Pfizer's strong drug pipeline, which includes an inhalable insulin an a new anti-inflammatory drug.
