Recent cutbacks in health care funding have caused a number of Ontario obstetricians to refuse to accept new patients, resulting in numerous pregnant women being unable to find anyone to deliver their babies. Disputes with other specialists are also becoming a problem.

Arctic thrills: tourists go north to seek the last great wilderness

Adventure tourism in the Northwest Territories is growing, bringing much needed money and jobs to the region. Most of the tourists are from the US or Europe. Potentially large markets include tourists from Japan and very affluent tourists.
