Article Abstract:
The directors of the Sydney Festival have asked visual artists, Nam June Paik and Norman Ballard to put up a show at the Opera House, on the prompting of the Public Art Fund of New York, which wanted to show 32 Cars at The Rockefeller Center. It is expected that the viewers would enjoy the show, as the two renowned artists plan a show complete with pyrotechnics and laser beams.

Some of the works of architect Walter Burley Griffin and his wife Marion Mahoney will be sold at auction at Phillips in Sydney in July 2001. Griffin developed the Prairie style of architecture while he was working for Frank Lloyd Wright, and he went on to win a competition to design the city of Canberra in 1913.
