Article Abstract:
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has instituted regulations regarding the management of real estate investments that the real estate industry is opposed to. The regulations require that a real estate investment organization be a public company, register its investment scheme, and write a prospectus. The government has indicated that it may require some real estate professionals to hold a financial advisory license. The regulations come in response to real estate developments that advertise for investors.
