Royal Oak monitor seeks more power
Article Abstract:
Royal Oak Mines Inc. of Kirkland, WA, has been given until Apr 16, 1999, by an Ontario court to submit a financial restructuring proposal or face the possibility of receivership. Secured creditors headed by Trilon Financial Corp are expected to ask the court to appoint an interim receiver for Royal Oak in preparation for the individual sale of its assets. Court appointed monitor PricewaterhouseCoopers has also asked for more powers to arrange the sale of the company or its assets by June 1999.
