Article Abstract:
The September 11, 2001 attacks has prompted many nuclear power plants around airports to rethink their security measures even though these facilities are built to withstand all natural disasters. JDAM smart bombs prove to be accurate--and a good buy
Article Abstract:
The Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs), relatively cheap and extremely accurate, satellite-guided bombs might be the best weapon with the U.S. Army to topple Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. JDAMs, which use a computer-navigation system and global-satellite-positioning data to pinpoint targets and avoid civilian casualties, are less costly and deliver high accuracy.
