Smokescreen
Article Abstract:
A 1997 survey showed 69% of Australian Football League (AFL) patrons wanted more non-smoking areas, and only 12% wanted to sit in a smoking area. These results do not mean most people would endorse a total ban on smoking at games. Only 25% wanted the ground to be smoke-free. At the first smoke-free AFL game, the security staff were lax in enforcing the rule.
