Plans to introduce YNN into 100 Canadian schools is generating controversy. The schools will receive about $50,000 in television equipment in exchange for allowing students to watch one 12-minute newscast, which includes 2 1/2 minutes of advertising, each day.

The Church of England received just enough votes to allow women to become priests and the results have created many divided congregations. Priests who are more traditional fear reprisal for their thinking. Provisions of the decision are described.
