The Australian Stock Exchange's $2.3 billion plan to merge with Sydney Futures Exchange has infuriated both the concerned parties. The merger of equities trading with futures might concentrate too much power, hindering any future chance of competition in the nationally important arena of capital formulation, and might extend their monopoly across all financial instruments.

Since its inception in 1995 Amadeus has hundreds of oil well that in the year 2004 earned it a net $11.2m, a gain of 200% compared with 2003-04.
