The finalists in the 2005 Telstra Business Women's Awards cam from all over Australia, from all sections of employment but they had one thing in common, their outstanding contributing to Australian business and their communities. For past 11 years the annual Telstra Business Women's Awards is celebrating the achievements of Australia's leading business women and the 2005 Telstra Australian Business Woman of the Year was Diana Williams of Fernwood Women's Health Clubs.

Mature-aged workers are employed in large numbers by employers as they feel that older workers do not shift jobs very fast and are more stable in their personal lives. The department of business, work and ageing at Melbourne's Swinburne University reports that mature-age workers are flexible with their work and share the same productivity levels as compared to the young workers.
