Canfor goes high tech to cut costs

Vancouver, BC-based Canfor Corp., in an attempt to reduce costs for its lumber cutting operations, has installed a new computerized resource management system. Canfor, which reported a second-quarter profit of $32.1 million, has spent between $5 million and $10 million on the system.
