Caroline Hebard is a volunteer who rescues people from disasters through the U.S. Disaster Response Team, which she helped found. She works with a specially trained German shepard and has helped find and save earthquake victims in Armenia. She travels all over the world in her work.

Approximately 70,000 kittens and puppies are born daily, and this has caused a huge animal overpopulation problem. The nonprofit Doris Day Animal League is sponsoring a Spay Day USA on Feb 28, 1995. Responsible pet ownership includes spaying animals.
