The acquittal of Zeky Mallah, charged with planning to kill ASIO agents, by the New South Wales (NSW) Supreme Court has raised questions about Australia's anti-terrorism laws. Though some police chiefs want to abolish jury trials in terrorism cases, the Australian constitution enshrines the right to a jury trial for indictable federal offences.
