U.S. Steel joins Stelco bidding: Would be interested in buying Hilton Works and Lake Erie operations
Article Abstract:
United States Steel Corp. got into bidding on November 24, 2004, stating that it would be interested in purchasing the Hilton Works in Hamilton and Lake Erie operations in Nanticoke, Ontario. Donald Ross, a lawyer for U.S. Steel described in a court filing that U.S. Steel had communicated its interest in pursing the possible acquisition of all of Stelco's integrated steel business operations on a going-concern basis.
