U.S. firms to lead rebuilding effort

The U.S. Department of Defense is expected to award a large number of lucrative contracts for the rebuilding of Iraq. Lavalin Inc.'s subsidiaries in Canada are lined up for some of the Iraqi contracts, which also may be awarded by USAID and other U.S. agencies.
