WestJet profit nosedives by 89%

Calgary, Alb.-based WestJet Airlines Ltd. reported that it earned $778,000 in profits for the first quarter ended March 31, 2003. WestJet, which is led by president and chief executive officer Clive Beddoe, said that the airline industry is still suffering from the effects of terrorism and poor economic conditions.

Onex CEO raked in over $11-million
