What detonated dot-bombs?
Article Abstract:
Dot-com companies continue on a downslide as evidenced by the more than 117 failures from Sep 1999 to Oct 2000. The statistics include 12 outright bankruptcies, 63 Web site shutdowns and 15 companies resorting to harsh adjustments such as massive layoffs. The leading cause of dot-com demise is poor busines models that did not bring in enough revenue or were burdened with too many costs to have even a chance at survival.
